Hornady ELD-VT Bullets

Hornady ELD-VT® (Extremely Low Drag – Varmint/Target) Bullets combine the aerodynamic profile of a low-drag match projectile with the lighter weight and higher velocity characteristics of a varmint bullet. They are designed for precision target shooting and varmint applications where flat trajectories and reduced wind deflection are important.

The Heat Shield® tip resists deformation caused by aerodynamic heating, helping the bullet maintain its shape and drag characteristics throughout flight. Hornady also uses highly concentric AMP® jackets for consistent jacket thickness and bullet-to-bullet uniformity.

Hornady’s patented DVRT™ (Drag Variability Reduction Technology) uses a flat-meplat tip design to improve drag uniformity and reduce dispersion at extended ranges. On impact, the polymer tip drives into a large internal air gap to promote rapid fragmentation, including at lower impact velocities.
