Hornady CX Bullets

Hornady CX® (Copper alloy eXpanding) Bullets are monolithic hunting projectiles designed for accuracy, high weight retention, and deep penetration. Their one-piece copper-alloy construction eliminates core-and-jacket separation while supporting dependable terminal performance on medium and large game.

The Heat Shield® Tip is made from a heat-resistant polymer that maintains its shape during flight, helping preserve a consistent ballistic coefficient and uniform meplat. Hornady also incorporates DVRT™ (Drag Variability Reduction Technology) to improve drag consistency and reduce dispersion at extended distances.

Optimized grooves reduce bearing surface and fouling while helping maintain aerodynamic efficiency. Hornady states that CX bullets are designed to retain approximately 95% of their original weight, supporting controlled expansion and deep penetration.
