Hornady SST Bullets

Hornady SST® (Super Shock Tip) Bullets are hunting projectiles designed to combine aerodynamic efficiency, accuracy, rapid expansion, and dependable weight retention. Their polymer tip initiates expansion on impact while helping create a streamlined profile for efficient flight.

The SST uses Hornady’s secant ogive and boattail design to reduce drag and improve stability. A mid-body cannelure provides a consistent crimping location, while the InterLock® ring mechanically locks the core and jacket together to help maintain bullet integrity during expansion.

Available in a variety of calibers and bullet weights, Hornady SST bullets are designed for hunting applications ranging from deer and antelope to larger game, depending on the specific caliber and projectile selected.
