Hornady XTP Bullets

Hornady XTP® (eXtreme Terminal Performance) Bullets are precision handgun projectiles designed for controlled expansion, deep penetration, and consistent accuracy across a wide range of velocities. Their hollow-point design combines dependable terminal performance with the consistency Hornady is known for.

Precision serrations in the jacket help initiate controlled expansion, while the swaged lead core promotes uniform density, balanced expansion, and stable flight. The drawn gilding-metal jacket varies in thickness along the bullet to help regulate expansion.

The jacket also protects the bullet nose and hollow cavity, supporting reliable feeding in compatible semi-automatic platforms. Revolver-specific XTP bullets may include a cannelure to provide a consistent crimping point.
