Wapiti River Outdoors

Born from years of elk hunting and calling experience in Alberta, Wapiti River Outdoors specializes in diaphragm elk calls designed for realistic sound, responsiveness and ease of use in the field. Founder Travis O’Shea has been studying elk and developing his calling skills for decades, bringing real-world experience into the Wapiti River lineup.

Diaphragm Calls for Different Elk Vocalizations

Wapiti River Outdoors produces a wide selection of diaphragm reeds with different configurations for reproducing cow, calf and bull elk sounds. The lineup includes single-reed, double-reed and domed designs, giving callers options for everything from softer cow and calf communication to more aggressive bull vocalizations.

Built Around Real Elk Calling

Different reeds respond differently to air pressure, tongue pressure and calling style. Wapiti River has developed calls with an emphasis on consistent latex stretch, comfortable placement and producing a broad range of tones without requiring excessive pressure.
